Celebrating 10,000 bookings and counting…

2026 marks a milestone for us here at Andy Walks. This year we’ve reached the 10,000 completed bookings mark.

Since 2019, more than 55 clients have hired us to walk more than 60 dogs around their local areas.

The idea for Andy Walks came along in 2018, but walks didn’t commence until we officially opened for business an the beginning of 2019. Originally it was just Andy, but as work increased and the diary started to get full, Georgia joined the team to help out. At the peak we had 3 walkers out at any one time.

Unfortunately, since the Labour government came to power in 2024, the UK economy has taken a massive down-turn. Because of both that and the ‘working from home’ revolution brought on my the Covid 19 pandemic, there are now far fewer people going out to work each day, which had a knock on effect with us. So when Marie left earlier this year, the workload had decreased to the point where we did not need to replace her.

All dog-walkers are feeling the pinch, but we have weathered the storm better than most, helped in no doubt by the fact we now accept bookings 24/7 via our own website and we have excellent Google reviews. As far as I’m aware, we are also the only local dog walkers who offer full GPS tracking of every walk, so our clients can see exactly what their furry family members have been up to. We are also unique in our resilience, providing a full 52 week per year service.

Finally, a big thankyou to all our clients and their pets who have made all this possible. Rest assured we are not going anywhere. So here’s to the next 10,000 walks!
