Otis was out and about again last week. He always enjoys his walks but he’s not too keen on rain. So the sunny days down by the lake are perfect for him.

It’s hard to believe this is actually the site of the old Orgreave Collier and coking plant. All of that is long gone now and as part of the site reclamation they created Lake Waverley, which is totally man made. Unfortunately they have started to spoil it again by continuing to build a ridiculously large number of new houses. I can’t help but wonder what all these new residents are going to do for things like schools, doctors and shops etc, none of which seem to have been included in the development so far.
